when adding extra ip what should they be set as, could someone explain what the options are used for so i select the correct option.

lo sit0

eth0 is usually your primary external interface and would be the one you need to select :)

lo is the local loopback interface and sit0 is (from what I've google'd) a device for encapsultating ipv6 in ipv4 datagrams.
