Yes both MySQL 5 and PHP5 can be installed without breaking anything with InterWorx itself. If you do this make sure to do MySQL first because php has to be compiled against the specific MySQL version. Also be aware that php5 may break some of the scripts installed via scriptworx. They haven’t all been tested for php5 compatibility.
As for easy apache, no we have no such feature.
1.1 Compatibility With InterWorx
It is always possible to upgrade or switch sources of your MySQL server as long as the following requirements are met: The MySQL server version must be version 5.0 or higher. On InterWorx install, InterWorx should be able to access the root user of the MySQL without a password.
