Hi

Since few days I receive these logs

/etc/cron.daily/00webalizer:

Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record

Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record
Error: Skipping oversized log record

Any idea ?

More strange since I’m under the 1.8 I’m not sure to receive all mails ???
I use Spamd/clamd/qmail scanner, is there an impact on these tools ?

Thanks for your help

Pascal

Those “Error: Skipping oversized log record” e-mails can be safely ignored. In fact, you can delete the /etc/cron.daily/00webalizer file altogether if you want to, it isn’t used for anything related to InterWorx’s stats generation.

With the 1.8.0 release there was a new qmail rpm installed, you may want to check any qmail files you had to customize. If you aren’t receiving any mail, I’d check the /var/log/send/current file for any possible errors.

We can take a look if you send us your server login info.

Paul

Thanks Paul

yes it’ll be very nice if you could have a quick look.

How could I send you my login info (private msg and email from forum are disabled)

An other think. I have created a test domain on a dedicated IP
When I try to create an SSL certificate I have this msg error

"You have specified a non-existing pointer domain and you have reached your quota for pointer domains. "

It’s exactly the same message as I was trying to create an SSl certificate under a shared IP.

Thanks for your help

Error

Hi

I confirm that I do not receive mail any more from outside

I checked the /var/log/send, /var/log/pop3, /var/log/smtp

And the only think I found very strange is that

I didn’t change anything for a long time. The only changes made, has been to upgrade to interworx 1.8

it seems to be the perlscan which one use DB_file.

Helps would be very usefull

Thanks

Try changing the “softlimit” value in the
/service/smtp/run
file to be 15000000

That may fix it. We’ll be sure to not mess with that value in future qmail updates, if that’s indeed what the problem is.

Paul

That may be the prob, you’re running spam filter/blocking tools right squalito? I bet they are sucking up the additional memory that we tweaked in the ‘run’ files. If we do change them it’ll be to ‘up’ the mem limit so as Paul said, if it fixes it, don’t worry about future updates.

Chris

Hi

I thought I did it, but as you said, Qmail changed so…

You should be right, I increase the soft limit to 15000000 and add
QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl" export QMAILQUEUE

Let you know if it’s ok

Yep !!!

You’ve got it, everything seems to be fine

Thanks for your help

And do yu have any idea about my ssl problem ?

It’s exactly the same message as I was trying to create an SSl certificate under a shared IP.
