Proper Way to Point Email to IP Address

When setting up a SiteWorx account to route email externally to an IP address, should the local delivery option be enabled or disabled? I have had two domains set up with local delivery enabled, without problems, until today. Now one site is getting intermittent bounces. So I’m trying to figure out where the problem is. Thanks.

I have the DNS settings set up this way:

mail.domainname a = ip address
mail.domainname mx = 10

I’m not quite clear what you mean here, but this may help. If the e-mail boxes for the domain exist someplace other than the InterWorx server in question, then local delivery should be disabled.

Nothing looks out of whack in terms of the dns settings you showed there.
