Forum display issue

I noticed an issue with the forum layout on Google Chrome.

However it does render correctly on IE10.

Chrome:

IE 10:

This might make it tricky for people that use Google Chrome.

Very strange.

I tried fixing it. CTRL+F5 refresh and see if it works now.

Yes,

and No it didn’t fix it :frowning:

Ah Horsepeppers…

I’ll have to troubleshoot this on Monday.

Lemme know what OS you’re using and if you’re running any chrome extensions when you get a chance.

Thanks for keeping an eye open.

ok, in Incognito mode it looks fine… wierd…

I don’t have any Stylish themes defined for this site… wierd. Wonder what add-on causes this…

Does it happen on your end with any of the addons I listed?

Amd BTW… You’re very welcome.

You’re a Chrome maniac

I’m not sure which plugin it could be.
None of those really seem too intrusive!

If I had to guess, I’d think it would be:

-Google Chrome to Phone Extension 2.3.1
-Or one of the SearchBar ones.
-Or Adblock.

I know that some (like Skype with phone numbers) add little snippets of HTML to the page.

If you’re really bored and want to help out, disable one at a time and refresh to find it, and I’ll download the plugin and fix my HTML so that the plugin leaves it ALONE!

Thanks again AGNX.

It’s great that you like us enough to help us fix things.

and PS: How do you like Win Server 2012?

Ha ha! I am. I need a lot of those addons for my work though.

I’ll give it a shot but it’s gonna take a while…

And not a problem and I do like Interworx!

and BTW I love Server 2012!

Ok, That was easier then I thought… It was Adblock Plus.

Thing is there are no ads on this forum though… wierd… The addon might be bored and wants to do something anyways. LOL.

Haha.

Solved the mystery! Now we just need a motive.

I’m going to download it and see if I can see what it’s doing.

I’ll let you know what I find.

Cool!!!

Good luck!!!

So,

I fixed it, but I still have no idea why it was rendering that area differently.
I’m assuming it has SOMETHING to do with the little vbulletin-drop-down menus (their CSS class is prefixed with popup) plus
my excessive use of relative and absolute positioning. (Maybe it just dropped a few strange characters around that area as it was scanning
for ads.)

But I couldn’t remove anything that was an instant fix. I had to pick styling elements that made Firefox and Chrome both happy.

(Now just watch… It won’t work at all in IE) har har har har

Thanks for the help bug-testing this though!!! The Wizard of iWorx (Paul) will be pleased.

Awesome!!!

So glad to be of assistance!!

And thanks for being totally awesome about this!!!
