License problem

Not sure what is going on, but twice within the past week I’ve been notified by clients that the license was invalid and I had to do a license sync…

Any idea how to determin what is causing the problem?

Hi Bluesin,

I’d double check that you can resolve license.interworx.com on the box, that port 2443 is open on the box, and that when you telnet to license.interworx.com on port 2443, you get a response like this:

Trying 69.56.137.24…
Connected to license.interworx.com.
Escape character is ‘^]’.

Also, check that the iworx.pex --quad_daily script is actually running 4 times a day.

Socheat

Well, certainly I can reach license.interworx.com, all I have to do to resolve the problem is run a license sync. I checked the quad cron job an it is scheduled to run at 5:39, 17:39, 11:39 and 23:39…

Is there a log file I can look into?

Hmmmmm, I checked the cron log and it does not look like any cron jobs have run since feb 14th…

I rebooted and they seem to be running again, I’ll keep an eye and let you know if I have any more problems…

receiving this error,

Feb 21 05:38:01 server1 audbin[18814]: threshold 20.00 exceeded for filesystem /var/log/audit.d/. - free blocks down to 19.90%

Once that happens the system seems to suspend all cron jobs…

Plenty of space on disk, what is this related to?
