Simple Scripts and Softaculous

Hello,

i just wanted to say that neither of does two works.

Simple Scripts install scripts but files are missing some files are created as folders?!

I hope you don’t mind, but your picture looks like there’s more going on then should be.

Simplescripts and softaculous work fine for us on both production and beta test systems.

I would perhaps check you php version and any other software you may have setup, which could cause this type of issue. Also, try setting php runs as iWorx user

If it’s important though, you may want to open a support ticket

well the only thing i changed is updated php to 5.4.31 and mysql to 5.5.39 nothing else. php i running as iWorx user

I would expect it to work then, but looking at your pic, it would appear to me that your not seeing the softaculous screen, and I’m not too sure what is been displayed instead, sorry.

Is your language English, if not as test, you could set the language to English and see if that helps.

Of course I could be entirely wrong but I have heard of issues with different language formats.

i was able to fix Softaculous, the problem was i enabled zlib.output.compression in php.ini for interworx and forgot to disable it.
but still, i cant install any scripts as client
i try to update software, edited and set permissions and run cron as said in https://www.softaculous.com/docs/Immediate_Synchronize_with_Softaculous_Servers
The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator.

I’m pleased you found the reason for the issue, but also, this is not a bug, sorry as it is only present on your system. If you believe it is a bug, you can file your own bug report from the support page of Interworx.
I would try to reinstall using the following:

I had the same issue was getting the The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator, tried the cron update and no luck still got the same error.

This worked however.

  1. cd /usr/local/
  2. wget -N http://www.softaculous.com/iwx/install_softaculous.php && chmod 755 install_softaculous.php && /home/interworx/bin/php /usr/local/install_softaculous.php3. it will automatically reinstall and that should be it
