  • EV on main domain but wildcard SSL for subdomains

    Hi all,

Basically we have a client who has an EV SSL on the main domain so www.domain.com (I'm aware they are a waste of money these days but whatever). Before hand they had a wildcard SSL so it covered all of their sub-domains too. But now obviously the EV SSL does not do that. Is there a way to add their wildcard SSL back to the subdomains they have set up.

I believe it may require some changes to the vhost file for the domain but I'm not sure really and just wondering if anyone else has had to so similar on Interworx. So they will have an EV SSL for their main domain but also have a wildcard SSL that covers their sub-domains.

    Thanks,

    Hi Bertie

I think from memory you change domain in siteworx and then add it as normal

An alternative would be to send www to non www or visa versa

    Hope Iíve understood correctly sorry

    Many thanks

They have them in the sub-domains section and not a secondary domain so they don't appear in the change domain option I don't believe? So for example there is:

      products.domain.com
      shop.domain.com

      Added to the sub-domains section.
