    Hi Michael

I tried today with Centos 8 boot iso (full dvd is 6.7gb big and no minimal installer available)

It failed though as it did not detect raid drives (server uses H700 raid controller with SSDís)

Itíll have to wait until next year now though

  • Hi Justin

Many thanks and hope your well

Could it be an update from IW as they push updates out rather then wait now and has overwritten your change

    Many thanks

    Hi Michael

    Hope your well

Good question and I have not yet tried centos8

We are using centos 6 and 7 and maybe look at centos 8 to replace centos 6 towards end on 2020

I am not aware of any issues though as was the case with centos 7 of you remember...

    Hi Bertie

    Sorry you could be correct

There is a setting in nodeworx server settings - at the very bottom which is meant I believe to rename localhost to your server FQDN

This does not appear to work or change when looking at headers

    The email sent...

    Hi Bertie

Many thanks and sorry for not fully understanding

I would be surprised if gmail showed a warning if email was encrypted when sent server to server but I do not use gmail sorry

That then sounds likely you have not set SSL on nodeworx server SSL or perhaps...

    Hi Bertie

Sorry I am not explaining very well

The generated messages are unencrypted because they are local to the mail server - so do not go outside of localhost

It is the receiving email client that uses encryption or not to the mail server

    If the...

    Hi Bertie

    Many thanks

The internal emails go through localhosts and therefore not require ssl connection as there local

I think you refer to your email client for email collection - pop or imap

You need to use your mail server FQDN MX record to attain...

    Hi Bertie

You need to complete the entries from nodeworx, system services, mail server, MTA settings

And complete the MTA server options FQDN and default domain

    MTA bounce message options

Ideally these should match your FQDN server name inc MX...

    Hi marco3819

    Welcome to IW forums

Sorry you have not stated where your domains use IW dns or registra dns.

All you need to do is correctly set the dns MX record for email

If IW server just serving websites, no forwarders are need

    Goto...

  • Hi chakusib

I would ssh into server and run ./varfixperms.pex (run as root or sudo)

Then webmail in your example would be FQDN of server with /webmail

    Many thanks

    Hi maddy7

    Welcome to IW forums

I would check any htaccess files in root folder to make sure it is not defaulting to php over html

Failing that, in https.conf try setting html and php save and restart apache

I think htaccess though you would find an...

    Hi Bertie

I think youíve covered all but it has been many years since I had to do this

I would create a siteworx for the new hostnane and then SSL using LE, then set this SSL in nodeworx SSL

    Many thanks

  • Hi sysnop

Sorry I meant to also state to remember to restart services or it would not show

    I made that mistake before

So restarting apache should work for system php and if multiphp, restart all php-fpm services from nodeworx, system services web server

Yes to turn off goto nodeworx services web server and change php fpm to php I think it is

If not, just set everything to system php and do not give access to other php versions by untucking them saving and restarting apache

    To...

  • Hi sysnop

Many thanks and sorry for not making myself clear

Your php -v is only looking at system php and not siteworx php

Installing for system php you use yum install opcache or it might be php-opcache or whatever it is

    Yum install php73-php-opcache...

  • Hi sysnop

Many thanks and Iím in uk

I think the issue is that people do not realise interworx does not use system php and until multiphp was introduced, did not install any php versions (with exception to the IW php IW use itself)

    Now with multiphp, it installs...

  • Hi sysnop

    Sorry itís late here

Setting default php is the default NEW siteworx installs will use

If you want to change the default php version used by existent siteworx installs, you need to edit the siteworx setup from nodeworx siteworx and edit siteworx

  • Hi Bertie

I guess each to their own...

If you set IW siteworx to big, it resembles CPanel on the GUI

If you have the latest IW-CP, you can chose dovecote over qmail or if new install, it uses dovecote

Also, IW is cheaper then CPanel after their price...
