Any word on when the failover will be ready?

Any word on when the failover will be ready?

Unfortunately, still no ETA on HA clustering. Once we release 3.0, we’ll begin to look at features for the next version.

eerff…

Hope it’d be soon !!!

Do you mean it won’t be in before a V4 ???

Nobody has tried to implement heartbeat/ldirectord ?

For interworx team : Why not simply install something like UltraMonkey which already has heartbeat/ldirectord ?

It’s true that when you’ll go in HA then you’ll have to easily allow a setup of an external mysql !

Like this mon/heartbeat/ldirectord could be use to :

  • Check the cluster-manager and switch from one to others
  • Check the real servers and change the routing policy (and the persistence pbm)
  • Check for the mysql server and change the routine policy

Or use keepalive d

Please considered implementing FailOver in version 3

Yes also and surely better than heartbeat, as you shouldn’t have to install others tools like mon or fake or ldirectord

Keepalived shouldn’t be so hard to install and test. Nobody did already try ?

Seriously, I wish interworx would spend a couple weeks attempting to implement failover, and then at that point see where they are at, if its not working already.

I don’t know about the rest of you but I would be willing to pay more per liscense to have it with failover.

What do we want?
INTERWORX WITH FAILOVER
When do we want it?
BY THE NEXT RELEASE

Believe us, we know it’s important. It won’t be in version 3.0 because we’re only fixing bugs in 3.0 at this point, but I agree, it’s very important and we want it soon also
