Here’s the email from cron running the cron.weekly procedure… any ideas?
/etc/cron.weekly/00-makewhatis.cron:
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe

Thanks,

I’m having the same problem. Any ideas?
Vegas baby, Vegas…
I’d check to make sure zcat is installed or do a “which zcat” and make sure it’s in the default path.
Chris
I have zcat in /bin/zcat
Any further ideas?
It looks like this is a CentOS/RH bug:
http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=949
A few people posted there what they tried, and some were successfully able to eliminate the problem. In any case it seems that, apart from the annoying messages, it’s harmless.
