How often are the ScriptWorx Apps updated?

And can we update them ourselves.

PHPBB2 is now up to version 2.0.17 and I have disabled 2.0.16 on our server because PHPBB2 has been a real crap application in recent history.

Exploits, bugs, security holes the size of Montanna, etc.

Also, my biz partner tells me that the included GALLERY app doesn’t work.

Yes- you can update your phpBB version by hand.

We are currently working on a new version of scriptworx, with expanded script support and updating mechanisms.

Thanks for the info about Gallery, We’ll look into that as well.

If you are asking can you make scriptworx install phpBB *.17 instead of *.16 the answer is maybe. You might be able to drop the new phpbb.tar.gz into the /home/interworx/lib/scriptworx directory and have it just work. I am not 100% sure if this will work, and it’s not supported.
This method will definitely not work with the new version of scriptworx that is coming out. In future versions of scriptworx, we may be adding mechanisms to allow a user to add a script/modify versions of supported scripts, but that has yet to be hashed out.
