That may be a decent stopgap for you, and I’m sure InterWorx will support it eventually. It’s just gonna take some time I think.

I know the HA cluster version of InterWorx isn’t ready yet… but do you have any idea what the min. number of servers will be to have the HA setup? For example, will I need 3 servers, 5 servers minimum? “soon” is intentionally vague. We haven’t set a public release date yet.

“A good portion”, again, intentionally vague as we’re still finalizing the features that will make it. Some won’t at all (or ever for that matter). Some are partially done and need testing and others are done and tested.

It depends on what portions of HA you’re looking for. A 2 node HA cluster should be an option but this hasn’t been finalized.

Less than “a few months” is fair. And by all means don’t bank on us for a release date for a business plan. I’d base it off the current version of iworx-cp and if we get the next one out in time for you then even better.

My cohort was working on this with our old Iworx box but we moved everything over to a different server and unfortunately I deleted the backup and now he’s getting all kinds of NEW errors on our fresh install.
Just a matter of time tho.
I have a question however, is the FrontPage server side stuff version 2002 or 2000?
The last I looked Ready to Run Software had extentions for both, but I’d advise focusig on the 2002 version as it’s backward compatible to 2000 and I believe 1998

Is there any quick/dirty (or good) hack/way to have SMTP TLS support? On one of our clients servers we do need it rather quickly now. The only ports open on that server are 25,443,993,995 (yes, all traffic should be SSL encrypted).
So far only the SMTP doesn’t accept secure communications yet. I prefer not to install qmail from source with the TLS patches as it might break RPM operations. Is there no other way ?

If you open a support ticket I can install an updated qmail rpm on your server that we’re close to releasing that includes SMTP TLS support.

Sorry for taking so long to respind to this – I just noticed it now 
A completely revamped updates system is on our to do list (but won’t make the next version, hopefully the one after that) and will probably include some sort of email notification system at least for kernels, I don’t think anything beyond that has been discussed yet.
InterWorx as a whole will get a new notification system, but alass that won’t make 2.2 either, but it has been started, so I’m guessing the release after that.
As always, we don’t gurantee these guesses. The stuff gets released when it’s done and we’re happy with ot 
Works for me. Since yum is being run on a schedule anyway, the summary results when added/updated packages are not zero would be (I think) a relatively simple way of doing it. Of course, this may not cover all distros, but then I’m not running those other distros, so it doesn’t affect me.
And nothing to delay 2.2, thanks. I just got the first beta for phpBB 3.0 yesterday after waiting three years for it. I feel much better now, and will feel even better when Interworx 2.2 is out.

In 3.0, that feature is under Site Services -> Directory Options. Then add an .htaccess file, and you should see the Error Documents option.
