Piping email to a program

I found this thread (http://www.interworx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237) on how to pipe email to a program, but there’s one thing that I’m not clear on: do I have to create a mailbox for the email address, or just put the .qmail-{name} file in the appropriate place? This is for a mailman installation, fwiw.

Larry,

You wouldn’t need to create an email account for it as well. The .qmail-* file takes precedence over the mailbox so it wouldn’t be used.
