postmaster, root & mailer-daemon aliases

How can I test the mailer-daemon, root, and postmaster aliases? My VPS’s postmaster address for the server domain fails when tested by DNSreports. The three default alias files in /var/qmail/alias all seem normal…

lrwxrwxrwx 1 alias nofiles 17 Oct 25 11:13 .qmail-mailer-daemon -> .qmail-postmaster
-rw-r–r-- 1 alias nofiles 21 Apr 14 14:45 .qmail-postmaster
lrwxrwxrwx 1 alias nofiles 17 Oct 25 11:13 .qmail-root -> .qmail-postmaster

Suggestions are appreciated.

What exactly is dnsreports complaining about sysnop? Maybe there’s some other cause for the failure.

Greetings to Interworx! and thanks for your reply.

DNSreports doesn’t find the postmaster alias and complains about RFC compliance.

I’m told not to ignore it, that it’s probably Qmail. Any advise?
