Would you allow on your shared hosting server some one to have access to SSH to set up up a custom port (say 38910) on the firewall to run the rsync deamon?
My thought is it isn’t worth the risk, am I to protective? I would like to hear what others would have to say about this issue that own and operate shared IW servers.
