Access nodeworx true server.mydomain.com instead of ip

Hi,
Got a question how do i setup/access interworx to use server.mydomain.com instead of an ip…

Regards Marcel

Hi marcel

I believe IW uses the FQDN of the server it’s installed on, so to correctly use that you would have to rename the FQDN of server.

I suppose quickly thinking about, you may be able to do some rewrites but I think the above is the best option.

I hope that helps and sorry if I’m wrong.

Many thanks

John

Hi marcel

Sorry, rereading your post and my answer, if your server FQDN is already called as you want, you can use that immediately as long as the A record exists in DNS.

A good pointer here is to remember to set a siteworx account with the server FQDN, so you can then control it’s DNS directly if you point your NS to your server.

I hope that helps

Many thanks

John

Thank you john…
