Apache not loading HTTPS pages with non auto start reboot

One site I run on my server has been getting hammered with a link from cnn.com so I’ve been adjusting stuff and sometimes have been forced to do a remote reboot. To be able to get control of the server after the reboot I set apache not to start on boot up.

I’ve noticed that when I do this the HTTPS pages will not load after manually starting it. Restarting, stopping/starting, do nothing to fix it. Only fix I’ve found is setting it to autostart and doing another reboot.

This may not be a bug, but just something weird on my server, but thought I would mention it just in case.

Interesting. If this happens again, like if you get slashdotted or something, drop a support ticket - I’d like to see this one in action.

Well, not ‘like’, but you know what I mean. It’d be good to find out if this is still an issue and why.
