APC PHP Cache on InterWorx Cluster?

Does InterWorx install APC or some other type of PHP caching program by default?

If not, can APC be added manually without breaking anything on an interworx cluster? Would doing so cause any problems for future automatic updates?

Would it cause any type of security issue to use APC or some other PHP caching with InterWorx?

No, InterWorx doesn’t install any “extra” things for php, you get the basic php installed from the OS distribution.

InterWorx uses it’s own php instance, so the system php install can be altered in any way you see fit, it won’t affect InterWorx or InterWorx updates at all.

I don’t have direct experience with APC, but since InterWorx’s php instance is seperate, I see no cause for concern here.
