This doesn’t happen all the time, but has happen a few times in a as many weeks.
Any ideas why this would happen?
What I should keep an eye out for to better track this down?
Thanks,
Justin

I’d look the /var/log/clamav/clamd.log logs file and also this one /var/log/messages
Pascal
Is it normal for it to stop and start like this?
Sun Sep 2 11:49:13 2007 -> — Stopped at Sun Sep 2 11:49:13 2007
Sun Sep 2 11:52:51 2007 -> +++ Started at Sun Sep 2 11:52:51 2007
Sun Sep 2 11:52:51 2007 -> clamd daemon 0.91.2 (OS: linux-gnu, ARCH: x86_64, CPU: x86_64)
It only scans mail. So I assume it runs when it has mail to scan?

Not unless clamd is restarted after it is updated - which did happen in fact happen sept 2/3.
