We have a lot of sites hosted on Ensim 10 (Ensim X, Parallels Pro), approximately 10 full distinct servers total. We will eventually move them all over to new servers (preferably running on InterWorx if everything works fine and we can do all we want with it).
The problem is that We have tried the utility to restore an Ensim backup inside InterWorx and it creates the site and copies the “public_html” files with the databases but it did not copy any email boxes, aliases, subdomains and subdomain files… and maybe some other things I did not think about…
I wonder if there will be more work done on this migration script or if I will have to do as told in other old threads (over 5 years old) like this one (http://www.interworx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=557&highlight=migration+ensim) and hope everything works?
In the past, we have done migrations from Ensim to CPanel with the scripts included in CPanel and all we had to do was to fill a form and the site would transfer automatically. The only thing we needed to do was to change the TTL and IPs in zones to point to the new server and minimize downtime and we were all set.
We still have a few months before the next migrations and hope we will be able to migrate to InterWorx easily as we have a lot of sites to migrate and would buy a few licenses if we can migrate easily. Otherwise, if someone has a walkthrough or recent procedure that he/she uses to migrate from ensim 10 to InterWorx 4, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Matt,
It’s very likely that the Ensim importer is outdated at this point. There has not been a lot of demand for ensim imports for a while, and as a result, it hasn’t been a priority.
That said, it probably wouldn’t be a very big deal to update the Ensim importer, if you could provide an Ensim backup with as many different things as possible, that we could use as a basis to fix and improve the importer.

It is good to know that you are willing to go the extra mile for a customer. We were wondering how the support would be with Interworx and it seems to be very good, or at least, going the right way and I am sure it is going to be an important part of choosing a new panel to migrate all of our old Ensim-Based servers.
Can you tell me (or email me) the procedure to send you some site backups with different aspects to back-up and restore from Ensim to interworx.

Sorry this has taken longer than expected, I was working on improving the ensim importer, and made some progress, but then got side tracked by various things - I plan to get back to finishing up the improvements asap.

Thanks for the follow-up Paul! I am sure this script could be helpful to get some customers moving from the old Ensim (now Parallels Pro) to Interworx (if advertised correctly) instead of having them move to Plesk or other Parallels products that cost a lot more. And since Ensim is not updated/supported anymore, more and more owners of these licenses will search for a new panel…
