Help

We have a customer who had a domain name that was under someone else’s control.

That domain name has expired and he doesn’t know how to contact the original registrant (registrar is godaddy).

He wants a similar domain .net instead of .com

My question is, how hard is it to move everything over to .net instead of .com including databases, etc?

Help!

The only supported way of doing that now is by creating a pointer domain going to the same physical space. The site will behave the same unless there is a php script there with the URL in the config file, in which case you would have to edit that too. Pascal was able to make the physical changes once but that required editing the InterWorx database and NOT RECOMMENDED.
