SpamAssasin does a decent job. However, there are some things that slip through the cracks. In the past, with cPanel, I would filter out a variety of messages like Viagra etc before they even hit the spam filter. Additionally, there are some messages that I just don’t want anymore or that I don’t want to risk clicking unsubscribe as I don’t trust the company to comply. Finally, I used to filter messages from specific sites into specific folders. For example, Newegg emails went into a folder called commercial. While I realize that I can set this up in a desktop email client, that client has to be running all the time. It was a lot easier when the server did it. Please implement email filters.
Hi Towt
Welcome to IW forums
If you log into webmail (Horde), click settings and filters, new filter you can set auto filtering
Many thanks
John
Hi John,
so basically Horde acts as a client doing the filtering, but directly on the server? I actually didn’t know that, since I never used Horde or Roundcube. Maybe I should have a closer look…
Cheers,
Michael
Hi Michael
Yes, its worth looking at but roundcube does not have same facilities for filters so I would just look at Horde. Its in section for rules but if you cannot find it, I will post a picture if you let me know
Many thanks
John
