SOA problems

Theres been a few occasions where a customer complains that they cannot view or ping any of their sites on any of our servers. However, others can view and ping it fine. From some digging by their ISP’s I am told its a problem with the SOA… Ok all and good - but what could the problem be exactly? Interworx organizes the SOA in all the records and we don’t mess with it.

Any idea or has anyone gone through this before and found a solution?


John (this is a long shot) have you tried setting your “Minimum TTL” (number of seconds) to 1 day (= 24 hours = 86,400 secs)? Unless you are changing DNS often you might try that and see what happens.
