yum update / missing rrdtool

read The Latest Post At This Forum, Thanks.

Have you tried:

yum install rrdtool

?

If that doesn’t work, let us know which OS you’re running and we’ll try to reproduce the error and find the fix. If we can’t reproduce it a support ticket is probably in order so we can investigate.

Paul

I have tried yum install rrdtool but then i get “Nothing to do”. I’m useing Centos 4.x

Try

rpm -q rrdtool

You should get

rrdtool-1.2.9-1.2.el4.test (or something similar)

If not then there is a problem

i got “rrdtool-1.2.9-1.2.el4.test”

also i got another problem with yum.

when i try “yum update” then i got an error.

Ummm — What OS are you using? You’ve got a mixture of RH9 and RHEL4, and that ain’t right …

Get the latest Yum — “yum update yum up2date rpmdb” and see what happens.

RedHat 9 im using.

Daveyw,

Open a ticket, and we can take a peek. Since you referenced two separate Yum problems on two separate boxes in this thread, when you open the ticket please be explicit about which box is experiencing which problem. We’ll need your root login information to take a look.

Thanks,
Socheat
