so one of our boxes need to change from public ips to internal 10.x ones. However when I go to manage ip’s I cannot delete the existing public ip as it has ssl on it.
- how do I move a domain from a public ip to an 10.x ??

Hi Wise
login to Nodeworx as admin
server, ip management, system ips, add ip address (this adds your ip address ready for use
siteworx, accounts, manage ip (on siteworx account you want change ip for), assign more IPs (this adds the new IP address ready for mapping)
Domain -> IP Mapping (same section of screen as above), change required IPv4 and/or 6 to correct IP you need, update
IP Address Assigment - tick box next to IP address to remove, then remove
Hope that helps and that should have you good to go I believe
Many thanks
John

thanks the problem I have is the ip4 dropdown is empty??
Hi wise
Are you on a cluster and if so, did you set the new ip to quorum (you should not)
Many thanks
John
no its a single vps
Hi Wise
Do you only have eth0 or do you have eth0 and eth1.
I would think you only have eth0, and I think this is where the issue may be, as the gateways will be different, and a virtual eth0:0 would not change them I think.
You may have to change your eth0 in full, but this would mean outages, and be careful as you still need access. I would be tempted to open a support ticket for this one.
Also, I believe from memory, there is a IP promoter.pex, for mass change IP, but again, I am not too sure if it first needs the eth0 (actual eth used) to be correctly setup.
If you could let me know the above, I’d appreciate it, but ofcourse, I could be wrong so I apologise in advance
Many thanks
John
etho0 up to etho0:4 and also couple of etho:iw1
Hi wise
Many thanks, but I’m still not sure if changing, it would need gateway changes to network. This is at you own risk.
Which eth is the new 10.range on
Can you delete it and add it again, confirming the green bar appears.
Then confirm when you add ip from manage ip on siteworx account, you can see the new ip, to be added.
Just a thought, have you already deleted the old ip
Many thanks
John
Hiya
I cannot delete the old ip as it has ssl on it and so delete is greyed out. IW sees the 10.x ip and also shows it as private. eth0 has an 10.x ip on it but some of the others (etho:1 for example) still has the public ips on them.
At the moment both public and private shows for the domain, but domain mapping box for ip4 is empty .
Hi wise
Many thanks, do you mind me asking if you have any secondary, or subdomain or pointer domains also set up for this domain on its current external ip
Many thanks
John
hiya - nope none. two ips for nameservers (shows as dedicated) and two ips for two separate ssl domains. nothing else.
Hi wise
Please could you try restart your network then, as I cannot see why it should not work and cannot duplicate here, but on my test server, it’s not vps.
I would though, suggest you make sure you have additional method in to your vps in case the network does not start up.
The SSL set on ip should not stop the ip change in case you were wondering, but I seem to remember in past, that subdomain etc would.
I hope that helps
Many thanks
John
Hi sorry, looking again at your pics, your ipv4 box should display its current ip used, not be blank.
If you edit the siteworx account, is the external ip listed or is that blank.
Many thanks
John
thanks - definitely none of that. I have rebooted a few times. no joy :-/
Hi wise
Sorry, it’s just a thought, but can you add a dummy siteworx account into this 10.n ip and confirm if it sets it correctly, if it does, can you try a reversal onto the dummy by adding in your external ip and confirm if that works as expected. Once done, can you put it back to your 10.n ip and confirm it works as expected.
Many thanks
John
